Robotics
Robotics is an engaging STEM course that combines mechanical dynamics and computer science. Throughout the course, students engage both hands and minds, strengthen their logical thinking, learn mechanical principles, adapt to teamwork, and enhance their programming skills. Through this course, students can participate in robotics competitions, progressing step-by-step through team events such as city tournaments, state championships, the US Open, and the World Championship. Student teams collaborate to independently research, develop, and design their competition robots under the guidance of professional coaches. The coaching team at FS Education is unmatched in New York for both guidance and robotics competition expertise. In 2023, they swept the New York State competition by capturing both the championship and runner-up titles, and they also secured a spot in the World Championship. In 2024, we will set our sights on the world championship.

Benefits of Robotics Competitions
Robotics competitions are a beneficial activity that can help students develop logical thinking, learn mechanical principles, adapt to teamwork, and enhance their practical programming skills.
Develop Logical Thinking
Robotics competitions help to develop students’ logical thinking, as they need to control robots through programming to complete specific tasks, which requires strong analytical skills.
Learn Mechanical Principles
Robotics competitions allow students to learn mechanical principles. Understanding the structure and principles of robots enables them to design and build better machines.
Enhance Teamwork
Robotics competitions are team activities where students work with their peers to design and build robots, thus enhancing their teamwork skills.
Improve Programming Skills
Robotics competitions require students to program and control robots, which helps improve their practical programming abilities, allowing them to master coding skills through hands-on experience.
Cultivate Engineering Mindset
Robotics competitions involve mechanical design and robot programming, which cultivates an engineering mindset and allows students to acquire practical engineering knowledge.
Project Management Skills
Robotics competitions are projects in themselves, requiring students to plan and manage tasks, thereby developing project management skills and practical knowledge in the field.
Integrate Multidisciplinary STEM Knowledge
Robotics competitions involve multiple disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer science, allowing students to integrate these areas and enhance their overall abilities.
Awards Recognized by Ivy League Schools
Participating in robotics competitions enables students to earn awards, which not only boost their competitiveness but are also highly regarded by Ivy League schools.
Award Achievements
The fruits of hard work will always be rewarded. The FS Education robotics competition team swept the New York State competition in 2023 by winning both the championship and runner-up titles, and secured a spot in the World Championship that same year.
